FIGURE OF THE WEEK #75: Krolyn Cowboys from Denmark

Krolyn Cowboys c.1958
Krolyn was a Danish firm that produced 7.5 cm figures in aluminium from 1946 until 1962. It is said the material the figures were cast in came from downed and captured WWII German aircraft. That early Danish toy producers copied foreign toys is a well known and Krolyn was the leader in this as they copied Lineol and Elastolin knights and western figures. They also produced original Vikings and a Robin Hood series. When Krolyn figures were painted no primer was used and today most figures found on the market have some degree of paint loss. Pictured here are two on my favorite Krolyn's which are copies of my favorite Lineol cowboys.
