Help Wanted

We are looking for people to contribute to our BLOG. Tutorials, Quick Tips, Step-by-Step articles, interviews, show reports and details and reviews on new releases, out-of-the-box  (unboxing) features…you name it. As a way of compensation we will provide any samples or products you may want to feature free of charge. A good example would be the AK range of True Metal paint. We would send you the product for a feature article on using it. All you need to do is send us your ideas and if we want to use it we will work out the details together. Our goal is to offer useful information to the hobby from a customer, collectors or hobbyist stand point.

We feature a number of historical hobby genres including those listed below, any of which are open for contributions:
Modeling
Figure Modeling
Toy Solders & Figure Collecting (metal or plastic)
Historical Wargaming
Supplies
Reading & Reference
Scenic & Diorama

‘What type of articles do we need?’
The answer is quite simple. You’re a reader and hobbyist, what sort of material would you like to read? As a hobbyist, if you find it interesting, you can bet it’ll probably interest others in the same hobby.

Reviews
If you’ve recently completed a figure, model kit, diorama etc., simply narrate how you completed it: the uniform research; primer, paint, base and groundwork? Any problems you encountered and their solutions. A few pictures would illustrate it beautifully.

How-to and Step-by-Step Articles
Do you have a secret formula for making realistic groundwork or mixing realistic washes. Why not share it and help modelers improve their skills? Surely you have a little tip for a Frugal Modeler column? Everyone does, why not share that ingenious tip or trick?

Explain Yourself
Are you a collector of a particular brand, style or scale? Toy soldiers? Vintage toys?, Model kits? Historical figures? 1/72nd, 1/35th, Britains, Mignot, Verlinden? Why exactly is that? Explain your attraction to others who may know nothing about it. Something may even come your way if you’re known as a collector. Why not share your knowledge?

News Stories
Can be any information that collectors and modelers would find interesting. New release info, events, new company announcements, museum openings, and many more topics would qualify. However news stories should be more than a sentence or two of information. Those type of messages or alerts should be posted in our forums. A good example of this would be a story about an upcoming model show is a news story.

Research Data
Did you do painstaking research on the authentic colors and details of the uniform on your latest project? Why not share the sources and save someone the effort of starting from scratch? You may have discovered a previously unknown historical breakthrough.

Travel Reports
Have you been to a collectors show or model contest? Give your fellow hobbyist a briefing on what to expect, if they end up going, they’ll thank you for the tip.

Book Reviews
Thousands of military books are published every year. Have you read one that could be particularly valuable to an hobbyist ? Bring it to their attention and tell them exactly why.

Movie Reviews
If you’ve seen a good military-themed movie, why not recommend it to your fellow members who may not even be aware of it.

Recollections and Anecdotes.
